Overview

The Town of White City is proposing to restructure its municipal boundaries through the annexation of lands currently located in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Edenwold No. 158. This restructuring was requested by the landowner, and aligns with White City’s long-term growth strategy.

Lands to be Annexed

The proposed annexation includes the following parcels of land:

  • Roads:

    • ORA 52-17-17-2 Ext 0

    • SW 19-17-17-2 Plan FU639 Ext 1
    • ORA 51-17-17-2 Ext 0
    • ORA 45-17-17-2 Ext 0

These lands are located directly east of White City and were identified as a future growth area in the 2015 Boundary Alteration Agreement between the Town of White City and the RM of Edenwold No. 158.

Why Annexation Is Being Proposed

The proposed annexation supports the Town’s objectives by:

  • Responding to a landowner-initiated requests to incorporate their lands into White City.

  • Aligning with long-term growth strategies, including existing municipal and regional plans.

  • Supporting community development by enabling phased, serviced growth through existing Town infrastructure.

  • Reflecting a demonstrated need for additional residential and commercial growth land to support future development.

In accordance with The Municipalities Act, the Town is providing opportunities for residents and stakeholders to learn more and provide input:

Location: White City Community Centre, 12 Ramm Avenue East

This meeting will provide an opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and share your perspectives.

Public Meeting

Date: Monday November 10, 2025
Time: 6:30 p.m.
Location: White City Council Chambers, 14 Ramm Avenue East

This meeting will provide an opportunity to provide formal feedback directly to White City Town Council.

Objections

Anyone wishing to formally object to the proposed annexation must submit a written objection by:
